Scott and Joe became friends while exploring the Italian Markets of South Philadelphia over two decades ago - so many moments searching for the perfect tomatoes, pasta, red wine, and of course cheese, that were so much more than gay boys shopping - they were sparking something magical in each other. They were discovering their passion not only for incredible food and ingredients, but for seeking out these morsels in markets all over the world.

Over the years, their trips to the likes of Tuscany, Paris, Cannes, Napa, Lyon, Havana, Barolo, Sydney, Madrid, Mykonos, Rome, Palermo, and so many more allowed them to cultivate their culinary point of view and solidified their theories that the ingredients are what matters most when cooking.

It made perfect sense then to combine their passions of food and travel to start Scott & Joe: Adventures for the Food Obsessed in 2024 with their inaugural trip to Oregon wine country.

Their cheese, charcuterie, gourmet goods shop, and wine bistro in Nyack, NY called Scott & Joe, cultivates the discovery of exceptionally special food - particularly cheese and charcuterie - where people feel inspired by their passion and knowledge, and part of a community of adventure seekers with a taste for quality, decadence, beauty, and sophisticated fun.

Scott has a background as a professional event and travel planner, communications expert, and fundraiser, with over 15 years of experience. Joe is the owner of Creative Arts Workshop, and a connoisseur of all things local as owner and operator of the highly successful Joey G’s Nyack Food Tours, where he uses his charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent to expertly advise guests on the ins and outs of the Hudson Valley.
