The Cheese Experience: Three sizes. Increasingly questionable restraint.

from $89.00

Small, $89

A small box with excellent instincts. Quinta, a soft-ripened California cheese wrapped in spruce and bay laurel, meets Plymouth Hunter, a beautifully sharp Vermont cheddar aged for more than two years. Add silky prosciutto, preserves selected especially for cheese pairing, and crisp crackers. Everything required to make a proper little scene.

Medium, $130

The table starts looking serious. Quinta and Plymouth Hunter are joined by Pawlet, a buttery, nutty washed-rind cheese made on a seventh-generation Vermont farm. Alongside them: prosciutto, roasted Marcona almonds, preserves selected for pairing, and crisp crackers. Creamy, savory, salty, sweet, and generous enough to turn drinks into plans.

Luxe, $165

Five cheeses is not excessive. It is a point of view. Quinta, Plymouth Hunter, and Pawlet are joined by Truffle Kid, a Spanish goat cheese marbled with black truffle, and Tentation de Saint-Félicien, an impossibly creamy French double-cream with a delicate hazelnut finish. Prosciutto, roasted Marcona almonds, preserves selected for pairing, and crisp crackers complete the affair. Open something sparkling and let the afternoon come undone.

We work with small producers and choose our accompaniments with the season, so exact selections and cracker flavors may occasionally change. When they do, we replace them with something equally delicious and of equal or greater value. No sad substitutions. Ever.
